We collect only the minimum information necessary to operate the Service:

Account and billing information — handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details.
Email address — collected by Stripe at checkout for billing and subscription management purposes.
Contact form submissions — name, email, and message, used solely to respond to your inquiry.
Usage data — basic analytics such as page visits and feature usage, collected anonymously.

2. Your Resume and Uploaded Files

Resume content and job descriptions you submit are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) for processing and are not stored on our servers. Once your session ends, this data is discarded. We do not retain, review, or use your resume content for any purpose other than generating your requested output.

Files are processed entirely in your browser before being sent. PDF and Word files are parsed client-side — the raw file itself is never uploaded to our servers, only the extracted text.

3. User Responsibility for Uploaded Content

You are solely responsible for the content you upload or submit to the Service. By using the Service, you confirm that:

You have the right to submit the content you provide
Your content does not violate any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights
Your content does not contain false, misleading, defamatory, or unlawful information
You will not submit content belonging to another person without their consent
You will not submit sensitive personal data of third parties (such as colleagues, references, or employers) without their knowledge

ResumeMatch is not responsible for any content you submit and reserves the right to terminate access if these conditions are violated.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide and operate the Service
Process payments and manage subscriptions
Respond to support inquiries
Improve the Service through anonymized usage analytics

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:

Anthropic — AI processing of resume and cover letter content. Content is subject to Anthropic's usage policies.
Stripe — Payment processing and subscription management. Governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
Vercel — Website hosting and infrastructure.
Resend — Email delivery for contact form responses.

6. Cookies

We use minimal cookies necessary for the Service to function, such as session state. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.

7. Data Retention

Resume and job description content is not retained after your session. Billing information is retained by Stripe for as long as your subscription is active and as required by law. Contact form submissions may be retained for up to 12 months.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you
Request deletion of your personal information
Opt out of any non-essential communications
Cancel your subscription at any time

9. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
